Hi, it's Gil the artist behind Junk Pizza.

Junk Pizza is the perfect pie made with all the ingredients in the pantry. It’s everything I'm passionate about - art, skateboarding, surfing, music and a good trip - all thrown together to create a brand that incorporates the underground aesthetic of my favorite artists, designers, skaters, surfers and trippers. 

My influences are skate, art and underground comics, all types of music - rock, punk, psychedelic, electronic - and culture in general.

Growing up in Southern Californa, I love old underground artists like Jim Phillips, Rick Griffin, Robert Williams and others who influenced our culture in an outsized way. Their designs still resonate today and I want to follow in their footsteps and create something new yet timeless. My theory is that great art never goes out of style.

In a world of fast fashion and disposability, we’re on a mission to create products and apparel that don’t end up in a landfill in six months. Stuff we'd wear, and stuff you'll want to keep for a long time.
